Send a fall care package that will lift your student’s spirits! Make it fun with these 3 gift tag printables and step-by-step instructions.

Have your kids taught you any abbreviations lately? In my pointless quest to be “the cool mom” here are some text abbreviations I’ve learned:
- LOL (Laugh Out Loud)
- YOLO (You Only Live Once)
- ILY (I Love You)
- NVM (Nevermind)
- ROFL (Rolling On Floor Laughing)
This week is officially the first week of fall and I have a new abbreviation to break it in: PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte). Yes, that’s what the gift card I bought at Starbuck’s had emblazoned in sparkling orange print.
Fall Care Package
When the air starts getting chilly I know it’s about time to send a fall care package to my kids. Mine are getting in the groove of their routines and I’m starting to realize how far away Thanksgiving break is.
If you’re in the same boat, here’s a step-by-step fall care package that won’t break the bank. These fun, printable tags are the finishing touch that make it special.

Here’s what you’ll need:
- Fall Tags printable
- Mug (Mine is from Dollar Tree)
- Treats
- Gift Card
- Pumpkin (Check out this video to see how I made mine.)
- Twine or ribbon
- Box (Mine is from Dollar Tree)
- Paper filler or tissue paper
With a $5 Starbuck’s gift card, my total was $10 for everything.
Start Here

I found a box at Dollar Tree that my mug fit into snuggly. The only problem was the “Happy Birthday” across the lid. A quick coat of orange spray paint added a bright touch. If you prefer a plain box, skip this step.

Next Step
Print out the Fall Tags and cut them to fit. My printable is scaled for 100%, but I printed these tags at 50%. so they fit in my cute, little box.
Punch a hole in the tag and tie it to your pumpkin stem with twine or ribbon.
Fill the base of the mug with your student’s favorite candy and a gift card for their favorite, hot drink.

Voila!
For the finishing touch, nestle your finished product in packing paper and seal the box. Don’t forget to sign the back of the tag- Love, MOM xoxo!
If you’re missing your kid, don’t worry. In just a few weeks they’ll BRB. Pretty soon, you’ll be saying TTYL. OFC they can’t wait to see you again, but B4YKI they’ll be home with some great stories of their new BFFs.
